The rocker arm is the actuating arm, more precisely, depending on the design, a single-arm or two-arm lever which transmits the lifting movement from the camshaft to the valve stem. Its pivot point is given by a rocker shaft or a ball cup bed. Valve levers are usually made of steel, pressed from sheet metal or countersunk. Its sliding / sliding surfaces are hardened.
